It was extremely difficult to find rap music magazines to analyse, therefore; I found music magazines to analyse which I can still take features from to add to my magazine.
- The picture is primarily on the left hand side of the double page spread but it spreads across to the middle of the page a lot. I think this is too much onto the center of the page as there is too much of the picture that is being creased. The writing is on the right hand side of the double page spread which I like but it is structured around the picture, it is all in a straight line down the side of the image which I don't think is as effective as if it was aligned down the image.
- The image itself is very large on the double page spread which is why it spreads across the center a lot, therefore; I will be making my image smaller so it is primarily on the left hand side more.
- The colour scheme works well together as they are simple colours that don't clash together and work with each other well, but it does not have any page numbers on.
- Despite this not being a rap magazine, it does have features in which are good to analyse and maybe take forward. The main picture is on the right hand side, with four other smaller images below and to the side of it which is different to the double page spread above. The writing is on both sides but mainly on the left side. It is all in a straight line down the pages, it does not go around the images which is bit bland.
- The main image is not particularly large but it is big enough to cover half of the page, The other images on the double page spread make it a bit more interesting.
- The colour scheme of black and white does work well together but it is very bland and does not really attract people to it and it does not have any page numbers on it.
- Again, this magazine is not a rap magazine but it does have features that would maybe be useful to take forward into my magazine. The main image is on the right hand side of the page but it has other images along the bottom of the page which is different to the other double page spreads.
- The main image is not massive on the page but stands out. The colour scheme of black, white and pink works well together and stands out. The aspect that I do like and is different to the other research is the quotation in the middle of the interview. I do like this feature as it is quite rare but also gives it a professional look.
- This double page spread does have page numbers on the bottom which represents a true image of professional magazine, however; the flowers that surround it, I will not be taking forward to the actual magazine because I simply do not like it.
